From the Farm
We’re committed to promoting local South Carolina beef because we understand that people want to know where their food comes from. Our cattle are never given growth hormones or antibiotics and are minimally handled throughout their lives so as not to cause unnecessary stress to the animals. And you never have to worry about the standards of production in other countries because you can take a ride along our scenic South Carolina highways and visit the farms where your beef was raised.

To The Table
When you purchase local meat, you’re not only making a healthy choice for your family, you ‘re also making a better choice for our planet. Your meat hasn’t been shipped west to be fed and processed and returned to you in a box burning hundreds of gallons of fuel. Local grass pastures help filter rain water that runs into our creeks, rivers and lakes and absorb carbon into the soil. Furthermore, sustainably raised local beef is known for its superior taste whether its prepared in the crockpot for Sunday dinner or grilled for a Saturday game tailgate.

WE ARE THE VOICE FOR
100% Verified South Carolina Premium Beef
We work side-by-side with members of the South Carolina beef industry to promote effective marketing that connects the farm to the consumer. As a not-for-profit organization, SCBMC works to increase local beef availability and help preserve family farms.
